The narrative is about a young girl involved in a serious car accident, resulting in the girl being in a coma, during being in an outer- body experience she must decide whether to wake up and life will be different than she imagines or not to wake up. Representation of key elements
An establishing shot of a stage is shown, instantly connecting the audience with the genre of classical and stereotypically links to the idea of musical and a more upper class due to this stage links to the stereotype of a place such as Broadway and connecting to the idea of production and performance. An establishing shot of the girl is shown facing towards three people where the audience can assume are the judges, due to the stereotypical conventions of the mise es scene; wearing suits and smart clothing, the location is shown of a stage connecting the three people as stereotypical judges. As the girl is the main focus of this shot the audience can assume that she is the main character in this film due to the three judges looking directly at her and the shot being behind her making the audience more involved in a point of view shot, showing she is the key character and importance in this film. The tracking, worms eye shot shows the detail of what looks like the ceiling of the stage, drawing the audience in and creating a beautiful and carm atmosphere for the audience. The non dietetic sound instantly played connects the audience with the first shot of the girl and the stage and allows the audience to connect with the representation of the character being linked with this instrument and allows the audience to understand the narrative. Medium shot followed by shot reverse shot of the main character and a boy allows the audience to connect with the narrative and become more involved with the narrative. The mise es scene of the medium closeup of the boy shows clothes of a stereotypical teenager and connects the target audience of teenage audiences. The sudden fade in, tracking shot of more patterns and colours from unique and famous buildings is shown, connecting to the idea of musical and upper class stereotypically having an interest in this style of building. A close up shot followed by a tracking of the hand shot, instantly connecting the audience with the non- dietetic sound and the instrument she is playing. This shows she is following the conventions of the feline traits stereotypically playing a 'feline' instrument.

The medium shots are shown of the girl at a location which the audiences can assume she is at a stereotypical American school due to the mise en scene;  the posters on the wall, the classical school bag and other people which stereotypically shows teenage traits. The slow motion edit with the worms eye shot shows a stereotypical teenage boy that is often shown in american teenage movies, showing the more dominating character. The audience can work this out due to the worms eye view showing the character having a higher statues and connecting to the idea of having more power than the audience and other characters. He is known as the stereotypical 'Jockey' and 'popular' character in stereotypical teenage movies.

The fade in and out quick shots are shown of the girl and then the boy connecting the two and allows the audience to understand a connection with characters and their relationship, making them have a stronger understanding on the narrative. The fast cuts show the audience a section of the narrative and allows the audiences to understand the importance of the characters.

The typography links the audience with the idea of connecting to a ghostly presents linking to the genre and connecting to the narrative of the film with the girl as a ghost looking at her life. The font also links to the idea of stereotypical girls writing in a dairy. This links the audience with the characters and allows the audience to understand the genre and connects to the audience of females because they can relate to the font. The idea of linking the type with the idea of stereotypical females, allows the audience to connect with the genre of the film and understand the narrative. The dark blues used shows a carm and relaxing approach making the audience feel relaxed. The colour also has a nice contrast between blue and white, Blue has a representation of peace and trust connecting the audience with the narrative and the representation of the characters. White creates a representation of Purity and clean, connection the audience with the idea of incidence and angel like linking to the narrative of the girl being ghostly like, looking at her own memories and life in third person.

Narrative-
The film follows a basic storyline of the protagonist which is the girl due to her being shown several times throughout the trailer. She is involved in a serous car accident which creates impact throughout the whole movie due to the non dietetic sound changing and the slow motion edit to show the effect of the accident and making the audience understand the importance in the event and the impact and change in the narrative from that point onwards. The Antagonist in this movie is the accident where it has affected the character to change the narrative and actions the character does. The connection with the boy character and main character shows a connection due to them being shown throughout the trailer suggesting a possible relationship. This is stereotypical for a teenage audience film to create a relationship between the main character and a stock character. This makes teenagers relate and connect more to the genre of drama and teenage situations, connecting them more with the character's personalities.
